Lola Mae's First Birthday

Lola Mae's first birthday was last weekend. It was a small party but fun. She wasn't sure of her smash cake, but she really enjoyed it the next morning after breakfast!

Bon Voyage

"The boy" is moving to Germany. They came over a few weeks ago for one last playdate. It was really sad. He couldn't hug Sophia goodbuy because he was fighting back tears. Who knows if we will ever be stationed together again. Hopefully.

Sliding

It took Lola Mae about halfway down the slide for the first time to realize how much she loved it. It was so cute. After a little help from mommy, she wanted to do it all by herself. It was so cute because she would close her eyes on the way down.

The New House

So we were shopping at the BX and I entered to win a Step 2 Cottage for fun and we actually won it! I thought it was a prank call. Just in time for both the girls' birthdays. It is awesome and of course they love it. It's so cute and completely girly.

Air Show (June)

Ok, so I am still trying to get caught up. Bare with me. These are from the air show in June. If you ever get a chance to see the AF Thunderbirds, do it. They are amazing. Sophia loved the planes. Lola Mae hated the vibrations when they broke the sound barrier. But eventually she kind of got used to it. We had to buy her earplugs and hold her the whole time. But it was awesome!

Daddy Daughter Date Night

Our Chick-Fil-A hosted a Daddy Daughter date night in June. I immediately signed Cole and Sophia up. Sophia was so excited to go on a date with daddy. After they got home she made him dance with her. It was so sweet.

Sand

These are from June, but it was Lola Mae's first time to sit and play in the sand. She wasn't sure of it. She prefers the water.

Reading to Lola Mae

This is Lola Mae's favorite book. We read it ALOT. She can't get enough of it. Sophia has the words pretty much memorized, so she reads it to her too. So sweet.

Colonial Williamsburg

Sophia's favorite part of the hotel-the phone.

We also went to Colonial Williamsburg on our trip to Busch Gardens. It was really neat. Everyone was in period dress and played the part. We took a ride through the town in a horse drawn carriage, which Sophia LOVED. Lola Mae napped throughout the day in the stroller thankfully.

More to Come

Ok people, I am exhausted. I promise I will finish playing catch up tomorrow!

Busch Gardens

Daddy is so much fun!

This is "Barry". There is only one Clydesdale actually named Barry, but to Sophia they are all Barry. She loves those horses.

Sophia was pulled out of the audience for every skit-which she thought was awesome of course.

Rides, rides, and more rides!

We couldn't visit Busch Gardens without getting the butterfly!

It's always nice to be welcomed!

We went to Bush Gardens again in June. It was even better this year because Sophia could ride more rides. We let her go through the "height check" at the beginning, and she was so happy that she didn't have to just ride the "baby" rides.

A Face Only a Mother Could Love...

My sweet, sweet baby. She sure can shoot some mean looks. I love it.

Fun with Food

Lola Mae is the messiest baby ever. And she doesn't even care. We go through probably 12 bibs a day, between the food and the drool. But she is just so stinkin' cute, you just have to laugh at her.
